This Saturday, FASTRising will join hands with the activist group Young Professionals Lahore in their flour distribution activity.
The idea is to engage FAST family members in volunteer work - especially those of us blessed with all that life has to offer.
Please see details on the project page.

FASTRising and YPL should distribute petrol now in the poor - the recent hike makes it 86 Rs a liter!

i feel that is insult to humanity

The lucky few who got aata from you, what should they do next month? wait for your benevolence again?
May be you should go for a sustainable option like akhuwat trust's loan distribution model.

And I am willing to participate if FASTRising starts something like Akhuwat's loan model!

1. No, Vaqas, it's an insult to your sloth and boredom that anyone should be doing anything worthy.
2. Absar, perhaps, it would be befitting for you to start working on the solution you propose and thenceafter argue with FASTRising for sustainability.
The scheme is not sustainable, which is also why it's not regular. But it is beneficial nonetheless insofar it ensures the beneficiary a significant saving.
I have no reason to doubt the charitable nature of this project. But is it the "real" solution to the problem. There is no doubt that lack of social security from state requires people from privileged classes to step up and support as many people as possible but we have a large numbers of our population living under poverty lines.
Providing charity to these people should not be the final solution. Someone must look at the bigger aspect of the picture. What caused these people to get into such deplorable condition? What reduced their buying power? What happened to the economy when each one of us leased a new consumer item from bank? When are we going to understand and admit our role?
